Fairhope Pier Working Waterfront

Rolin Construction completed the Fairhope Pier Working Waterfront Project at the historic Fairhope Municipal Pier and South Beach Park in Fairhope, Alabama. This nearly $10 million waterfront improvement project revitalized one of the Eastern Shore’s most recognizable public destinations while enhancing resilience, accessibility, and long-term functionality along Mobile Bay. The project included extensive renovations to the municipal pier and surrounding waterfront infrastructure, including seawall improvements, new concrete decking, upgraded lighting, handrails, pedestrian access enhancements, and site improvements throughout the park. Additional work included improvements to parking areas, drainage systems, landscaping, sidewalks, public amenities, and restoration of key waterfront features. Constructed in a highly visible public setting, the project required careful coordination to minimize disruption to residents and visitors while maintaining safety and protecting the surrounding coastal environment. The completed improvements provide a more accessible, durable, and welcoming waterfront destination for the Fairhope community and the thousands of visitors who enjoy the pier each year.
